Painting With Light

Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty reacts strongly with our Blacklight Keychain. You can do all sorts of cool stuff that just isn't possible with a larger, plug-in-the-wall type, blacklight.

If you hold the light right against the putty, you can write messages, draw pictures, and make all kinds of cool shapes with the narrow beam.

Some nights after a little too much work at the putty factory, I'll mentally regress into a Star Wars asteroid battle mode. I like to shoot the light at the putty from a variety of distances making silly noises -- as if I was shooting a death ray. Click on the movie below to listen to me making an idiot of myself.

Another neat effect is to stretch out the Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty into a long tube. Then draw a line down the edge using the Blacklight Keychain. Now start twisting!

Finally, after being charged by the Blacklight Keychain, the intensity of the color starts to fade. Your eyes play tricks on you in the dark so you may not notice it right away. See what happens when we draw a spiral. Notice how much darker the outside on the ring is? Of course the camera amplifies it a bit; it won't look as dramatic with your own eyes.

These are some of the ideas I've come up with. I know you'll have some new ones so, if your friends are impressed, then let me know! Send me an email and I'll add your ideas to the website.
